Frequently asked questions
How do I connect my Instagram account?
Go to Settings in the app and click "Connect Instagram". You'll be redirected to Facebook to authorize Reel Editor. Instagram publishing requires an Instagram Professional account (Creator or Business) linked to a Facebook Page. Personal Instagram accounts are not supported by the Instagram API.
How do I connect my YouTube channel?
Go to Settings and click "Connect YouTube". You'll be asked to sign in with Google and grant permission to upload videos. Reel Editor uses the same Google account you logged in with — no separate credentials needed.
My video isn't playing in the Library. What do I do?
Make sure you're accessing Reel Editor via HTTPS (e.g., https://reeleditor.ariham.com). Video playback requires HTTP Range request support, which is included in Reel Editor's server. If using a reverse proxy, ensure it forwards Range headers.
Can I use Reel Editor on mobile?
Yes — the web interface is mobile-responsive. You can upload clips, view your library, and publish from a mobile browser. For the best experience when uploading large video files, a desktop browser is recommended.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email us at [email protected] with the subject "Delete My Account" and include the email address associated with your Google account. We will delete all your stored videos, settings, and tokens within 7 days and confirm via email.
Why does Instagram publishing require a Facebook Page?
This is a requirement from Meta's Instagram Graph API. The API only supports Instagram Professional accounts (Creator or Business), which must be linked to a Facebook Page. Personal Instagram accounts cannot publish via the API.
My Instagram token expired. What do I do?
Instagram access tokens expire after approximately 60 days. If publishing fails, go to Settings, disconnect Instagram, and reconnect it to get a fresh token.
Can I publish to both Instagram and YouTube at once?
Yes. In the Library, click the publish button on any reel and toggle on both Instagram and YouTube before clicking "Publish". Reel Editor will upload to both platforms sequentially.
What video formats are supported for upload?
Reel Editor accepts most common video formats (MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM). All clips are processed with FFmpeg and output as H.264 MP4 in 9:16 vertical format optimized for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Is my data shared with anyone?
No. Your videos are processed on the Reel Editor server and never sent to any third-party cloud service. OAuth tokens are stored securely per-user and used only when you initiate a publish action. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
